Job Description:
Lead the development of new system capabilities. Design and develop major components and lead the team of developers to deliver the .Net technology according to specification and on schedule.
The Lead Developer works closely with the System Analysts and Project Manager to communicate progress, identify and resolve key issues, and carefully manage the scope of the project.
Responsibilities:
-In a team environment, lead planning sessions regarding new applications and develop system designs.
-Builds and supervises a cohesive technical team.
-Work with system analysts, and project manager to derive function requirements that translate into various software components.
-Review and enhance development standards and procedures.
-Create and/or analyze complex system specifications and development plans. Determine enhancements or create new business class objects for reusability.
-Lead the completion of the teams unit testing; the testing of the complete program, to ensure total functionality is in place; perform regression testing.
-Provides application knowledge, direction, and expertise to the project team.
Skills/Experience Required:
-Minimum of three years direct, hands-on experience in the analysis, design and development of enterprise class solutions using .NET Framework technologies including ASP .NET, C#, Oracle and SQL Server.
-Two plus years in a lead developer role with .NET technology.
-Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, team-building, motivation, and multi-tasking capabilities.
-Development experience with Visual Studio and VB .NET (.NET Framework). Includes Visual Studio 2005, .NET Framework 3.0.
-Strong and proven capabilities in object oriented concepts.
-Understanding of relational databases and SQL.
-Experience using version control software; Visual SourceSafe.
-Creates and maintains technical documentation when appropriate.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced growing company.
-Familiarity of Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, and ETL is strongly desired.
