.NET Developer

The Westinghouse Software Systems and Technology group provides business application development services. We are a dynamic group which utilizes our understanding of business processes in the design and development of the applications. Our technical expertise is Web development utilizing focusing on Microsoft technologies. These services are delivered with a full product life cycle.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this position, a software engineer can expect to perform the following duties:

-  Participating in requirements gathering
-  Analysis and design
-  Software Development
-  Documentation

SPECIFIC DESIRED SKILLS:

A successful candidate would be familiar with and/or have experience with the following:

-  Knowledge of Software Engineering principles and lifecycles with a working knowledge of OOP and OOD methodology
-  5+ years experience in web site development
-  3+ years of .NET 1.1/2.0, C#, VB.NET, and ASP.NET Experience.
-  At least 3 years of Programming experience with SQL Server or a comparable database server      such as MySQL
-  Programming experience with Active Directory or LDAP
-  Experience configuring and setting up websites in IIS 5/ IIS 6
-  Basics of networking using TCP/IP including Switches, Routers, and Firewalls
-  General knowledge or Experience administering Windows 2000 and Windows 2003

Non Technical Skills Required
- Ability to communicate with internal customers in a professional manner.
- Ability to help internal customers define application requirements.
- Ability to write technical documentation related to projects.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems quickly.
- Ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Must be self motivated
